Liar Liar

The big court room scene RealMedia Liar Liar is directed by Tom Shadyak. Jim Carrey stars as the attorney Fletcher Reede who has made a pretty good living from lying. He is always giving his ex-wife (Maura Tierney) and son (Justin Cooper) excuses for not being there for them. So his son makes his birthday wish that for just one day his father could not tell a lie. The fun begins when, suddenly, Fletcher finds himself answering questions truthfully.

Fletcher puts himself into many embarrassing situations, the first of which is insulting his boss after sleeping with her. He makes fun of his friends and superiors. In his big court case he jeopardises his career because he knows his client (Jennifer Tilly), rightfully has no case.

There's a scene in which Fletcher must fight with his own hand over a pen and another in which he is beating himself up. These seems pretty stupid, but are still funny to watch.

Liar Liar is hilarious, showing off Jim Carrey at his best. This movie is filled with the rubbery faces, noises, loudness and energetic antics that are all vintage Carrey.
