Web Errors

       When you surf the web, you sometimes find that everything isn't all there. Check your spelling of your web address.

400 Bad Request- The page doesn't exist, or the web server may not recognize URL.
Advice: Check your spelling of your address.

401 Unauthorized, 403 Forbidden, and/or Connection Refused By Host- The page is password protected, meaning that you need a password to access the page or site. Or the site can not be accessed by visitors.
Advice: If you can get in with a username/password, you might type it incorrectly.

404 Not Found- Most common web error. The page of the website does not exist. Or it may move to another place, leaving the old address nonexistent.
Advice: Try to correct it your address.

503 Service Unavailable, and/or Too Many Connections- Busy Web Signal. It might have too many visitors.
Advice: Wait and try again.

Host Unknown, Unable To Locate Host, and/or Unable To Locate Server- This website does not have the domain name. It may move to another place, leaving the old address nonexistent. The business of the web site might be out of business. Your Internet Service Provider might disconnected you, or you don't have a internet coonection.
Advice: Search for the website. If it's not there, it's not there. Or, Try to reconnect to your ISP.

Host Unavailable- The web server of the site might be down. It is usually down for maintenance.
Advice: Wait and Try Again. It may take awhile...

File Conains No Data- The page is there, but has no data. It is usually being updated by the host.
Advice: Wait and try again.

Bad File Request- When you submitted a form, it had an error.
Advice: Can't do much, contact the host about that.

Failed DNS Lookup- DNS (Domain Name System) severs that translates the name of a web address, (example: www.yahoo.com) to IP numbers. IP Numbers, or address,  are strings of numbers that computers use to identfy themselfs on the net. When you have this problem, the DNS sever couldn' translate the web addres to the IP address.
Advice: Check your address, it might be mispelled.

Helper Application Not found- The page has a file that the browser doesn't read.alone (like a audio, or video file).
Advice: You need to have some helper applications, otherwise known as plug-in's. These plug-in's are programs that attach to your web browser, that can read a specifc file that it was programmed to do.
