Meaning
Nettiquette
is a a set of rules that people can use in a harmoniously in the Internet.
(Partically in e-mail, chat, and newsgroups.)
Here are some Basic Rules of netiquette:
- Keep Messages short
- ALL UPPERCASE LETTERS are considered shouting.
- Criticize the idea, not the person.
- Don't overreact to something you readonline.
- Don't ask anyone to disallow coversation
ona topic that you found offensive.
- Ask a question that applies to you ina
newsgroup.
- In e-mail, be cautious in replying messages
from 2 or more people.
- Don't send or reply a cross-post message.(Message
sent to more than 1 newsgroup)
- Put SPOILER, if you are giving a plotof
movies,tv shows, or novels.
- Put encryptions if your message is inappropriate.

- Be aware of any computer virus. It
candisguise as a file, and when you open it up, the virus attacks. Advice:avoid
shady sites, or e-mails, with questionable downloads.
- Use search Engines (ex: Yahoo!).if you
don'tknow where something is located.
- Sometimes, you need plug-ins to view cetian
stuff on the web.
- Web browsers will look at web pages differently
that others. Something you see with one browser may be different with another.
- Surf RESPONSIBLY!!
