The Great Long Drive to Brisbane
It is somewhat like a rite of passage for any Sydneysider to drive to Brisbane from Syndey. This drive following the Pacific Highway (Motorway #1) is 1,070 Kilometers long!!. The drive will normally take 12 hours.

Whilst traveling to Brisbane, we stopped over at Taree to sleep (
stop, revive and survive). We then proceeded to Coffs harbour and looked for the Big Banana. After lunch at the Big Banana, we then moved on to Byron Bay!!!

Byron Bay was a Great place, though we wanted to stay, Brisbane beckons us.

When we arrived at Brisbane, we cruised in its efficient motorways to our respective hotels.

Brisbane became the hub of our stay. From there, we drove 100 kilometers ( around 60 mins  drive)  back south to Movieworld.

The next day also allowed us to visit The CBD of Brisbane. The Queen street malls provided some shopping therapy.

On our last day, we jumped on a large catamar and sailed to the Moreton Island. This island is the home of the tangalooma Resort. There we snorkled and hand feed the fishes.

The entire trip was a great experience. The trip back to Sydney proved to be also a challenging experience. Lucky for us, the
SUVS we had where up to the challenge (thank goodness for cruise control).
