Introduction
eChat creates an environment similar to most internet chat rooms. It's a simple script that effectively simulates most aspects of real time chatting.

 

System Requirments
  • PHP 4 running on a compatible web server

 

Developer Notes

The code is very minimal right now. In the future I'm thinking of implementing -

  • Smilies (automatically convert text smilies to graphics using search and replace).
  • User status levels - Mod etc (like IRC).
  • Logging and Statistics
