McAllister Springs...

Mcallister Springs was once a thriving community on the Black Water River. The town boasted a population of nearly 700 in 1850. The town was built on the site of the McAllister sprins and was known world wide for the springs medicinal properties. Today the town lies in ruins, the only remains are the bridge and the ruins of the health resort.

The McAllister springs bridge built in 1909, served as the only link between the town and the Health resort. Hundreds of people traveled this bridge daily to access the resort.

The ruins of the Resort lay just across the bridge...looks safe!
