Perhaps one of the most popular "free" ad rotation software in use. WebAdverts is a comprehensive system for maintaining a set of rotating banner ads on your site or for setting up a "banner exchange" between your site and others. Banners can be displayed on your pages either through SSI calls, so that each time a page is loaded, a new banner will appear, or via standard IMG tags. The program itself is not free ($59), although you get unlimited free trial use of the program.

Show & Sell is a Free CGI Perl 5 script which allows you to set up and log the display of clickable advertisements on your web site.

Ad Center
AD Center is a CGI script for creating your own Internet ad server. You can display your clients' banner ads on your site. AD Center keeps track of all impressions and click-through stats for each client, and your clients can view the stats for their advertisement(s) online.

Cliff's banner rotator
This script randomly selects a banner that you've specified and puts it on your page. Even if you only use one banner, this script makes it a lot easier to change something, as you only have to edit the banner text once, rather than once per page. You can easily add, remove, and edit banners from an admin page.

VIP banner
VIP banner is a script that displays random banners to as many sites as you wish. it's called by a small invisible SSI tag from anywhere on your page. you have to edit one file where you can specify which image will be displayed for which url and what is it's size in pixels, plus the text displayed in the alternative text tag. it's simple, and easy to install.

A powerful advert management and banner rotation script. It allows you to completely customise its output, such as font size and colour, border size, target frame, etc. etc. It also provides a default banner, so if for any reason all the banners cannot be shown, such as they run out of showings, or the database becomes corrupt, the default banner will be displayed. If the script does encounter problems it lets you know in a detailed error log.
