The basic explosion scene goes something like this :
- She's going along happily,
- something hits her unexpectedly,
- she gets really angry (or psycho, as the case may be)
- and it's wreckin time!
Proper goals are, of course, treasure, food, killing whomever is after her, increasing her wizardly knowledge, growth potions and the like, and occasionally the good samaritan mission. (usually it's for things like rescuing people that mean something to her, like Gourry)
Lina is NEVER romantic. She has an INCREDIBLY hard time expressing emotion.. the reason there are pictures of her and Gourry kissing and whatnot is because it's so rare people WANT pics of it. Lina will fall in love once she has slaughtered everything on the planet. It's not gonna happen unless Hajime wrote some WEIRDASS miracle.
Lina, for her credit, IS very intelligent, and picks things up Ranma Saotome-quick. It is not unreasonable to say that she could pick up a lesser spell just by watching it. She's that good. She figures out conspiracies rather easily, given time.
While Lina doesn't LIKE some people, unless they are constantly attacking her or something, she will not attack them on sight. She WILL save her comrades if they're REALLY in deep shit, but only if they need it.
Her behavior is more like the 'Ego', where Zelgadiss is more the 'Id' when it comes to attacking people on sight. But for the rest of the time, those roles are reversed, with Lina acting on impulse and Zel thinking things out. Zel is a bit more ruled by anger than Lina, believe it or not. : )
Exceptions to the behaviors I have noted above :
- In Slayers Next ep.2, she goes insane and starts killing bandits for no provocation. That was just plain weird, and very un-Lina.
