Macintosh Image Viewers and Editors

Colour Detective 1.0 (117K) -- this small application will produce color information on any color you can make on your computer, in HEX, HTML code, ect.. Perfect for HTML and C programmers, as well as photoshop users.

DeBump 1.1 (52K) is a handy application that allows you to change the size of an image quickly and easily. This is useful for web page design. Snapz Pro can also do this.

GifBuilder 0.5 (208K) is all you need, if you want to make animated gif images.

GifConverter 2.37 (486K) is another image viewer with limited editing capabilities. It has many of the features in both GraphicConverter and Jpeg View, but seemed buggy when I used it.

GraphicConverter 2.8 (1795K) is by far the best shareware image editor out there. If you can't afford PhotoShop, then maybe this will get you by for a while. GraphicConverter can edit any kind of image available, save it to a different format, minimize pictures sizes, as well as many other features.

Image Mapper 2.03 (586K) this application will make image maps for you web pages easily in any format you choose. You may need DropStuff with Expander Enhancer 4.01 (673K) to decompress this file.

Image Viewer 4.33 PPC (557K) or 68K (551K) is one of the best image viewers out there. It allows you to browse folders full of pictures quickly and easily.

JpegView 3.31 (802K) is a nice Image Viewer to look at all the images you get off the Internet. It doesn't have many features but is useful for looking at many image formats, while you're not on-line.

Smart Dubbing Pro 1.2v1 (234K) and Smart Dubbing Lite 1.0v6 (96K) -- these two applications allow you to convert QuickTime movies to animated gif images. Smart Dubbing Pro allows you to hear the movies on your web page, as well as see the animated gif.

Transparency 1.0 (36K) is a nice application that makes one color in an image transparent. This is for those of you who make web pages and want the background to show through your pictures. Very small and easy to use.
