These little dishes offer the latest and greatest technology for anyone for a very reasonable price. Click on these links to find out more.

Some links are to manufactures of DSS systems, suppliers of programming, and other information-related links.

Important Note: The info presented here is dated as I'm no longer as active in the industry. For the most part, however, the info should still be valid.

The little dish that started it all!

THE RCA DSS System and Home Page of RCA

RCAź DDS System - The Home page of RCA, a subsidiary of Thompson Consumer Electronics. Find out more about RCA products, including their latest Digital Video Disk (DVD) player, Digital Video Camera (DVC) and, of course, their DSS systems.

 DirectTV Logo

DIRECTV Satellite Programming - a subsidiary of Hughes Communications. The primary owners of the 3 high-powered DSS Ku-band satellites. Check out the latest offers on programming and special events ONLY available on DSS.

USSB Satellite Programming

USSB Satellite Programming - USSB is no more. DIRECTV has "absorbed" it, so all the programming they offered is now in the hands of DIRECTV. They offer all the movie channels and even some not available on most cable systems (FLIX and the West coast feeds of HBO, ShowTime, Cinemax, and The Movie Channel). One of the best things about having either a TVRO or DSS system is when you purchase a movie channel, you also get the West coast feeds. What that means is if a movie is on HBO, you can watch it again 3 hours later on HBO West. Great for people with weird schedules, like mine.

The DBS Home Page - Get all the latest info. about the Direct Broadcast Satellite industry, including tech. tips and Q&A. Covered are the Hughes Communication satellites (DSS), Echostar's Dish Network, DirectTV, and PrimeStar (which is NOT a true DSS system in any way), and others. A treasure trove of info.

DBS Online! - An excellent source of press-releases and more info (More detailed description in the future).

Questions and Answers about the DSS/DBS Industry - Lots of people are confused about these wonders. Questions like "Can I install a (insert product here) myself, or do I need a professional?" or "Is the DSS system cheaper or better than my cable system or a PrimeStar system?". I get these and more questions asked all the time. If you have some questions, this is the place to go.
