This is the original version of my sounds for the original YELLO Desktop Theme (Which can be downloaded below). The samples are faithfully recreated from the original sounds that David John distributed. The big difference is that these samples are full digital recordings!! (When I made these quite a few years ago, this was a big deal). They were copied directly from the CDs to the hard drive using Dido4 and edited using Sound Forge v4.0. No analog devices were used to create, record, or edit the samples. The dynamic range is really incredible and reflects the true quality of YELLO's music. However, due to the sampling rate that these files are in, they're fairly large in size, so they're available in 4 ZIP files that will fit onto 3 1/2 inch floppies. I have included here, though, a sample of one of the sounds so you can "test" the sound clarity for yourself.
All samples are recorded digitally @ 16-bit 44.1MHz Sampling Rate for the best sound quality and are copyrighted by Bloody Mixing, a subsidiary of JSB Enterprises, and YELLO (Of course).

Installation is as easy as unzipping the files into your current YELLO Desktop Theme directory. All the file names reflect the same original WAV files, so no reconfiguring is necessary. I've also included an "Menukommando (alternate)" Menu Command version that you might appreciate more than "Do It!". These files are free of course, since the source is copyrighted material, but the files are not recommended for BBS distribution.
