ICQ exists now for quite a long time. Once, I installed it on my computer for my younger daughter. I didn't like the way all these windows popped up, asking for many details of our quiet and private life. I just threw it away...

Now the children are bigger, they've been on IRC for some time and they asked for something new. At the general request, I gave ICQ another try. And this time it stayed...

Now that this is cleared, let's talk about swICQ

I surf at night... One of the children surf in the morning... and the other one surf in the evening... (You should see my phone bill...)

Each one of us use ICQ with its own number, and we do not have passwords. So what happens is that each time we open ICQ it starts with the wrong id.

Now, I have replaced the ICQ icon with the swICQ icon, and the window that open looks like this:

All what we have to do is to double-click on the name (this is the fastest way) and ICQ automagically opens with the correct id.

This small program is Freeware. There are no INI files, no registry modification, no install. Just put it in the ICQ folder, replace the ICQ shortcut by a shortcut to swICQ and you're done!
