the patented Mitsui dye, a major characteristic of the CD-R, results from Mitsui's long
history in the synthesis of the fine organic, dye, a critical component used in data
recording. Next, Mitsui's precise injection molding process creates the polycarbonate
substrate that has the laser light guides stamped in the CD-R. Then, through techniques
perfected by engineers, both the spin coating of the dye, and gold, is added to the Mitsui
Gold disc. Finally, the lacquer coating and Mitsui's exclusive Data Shield Surface
complete the finished product. Both a scrupulous optical and visual inspection of the
Mitsui Gold disc CD-R takes place prior to the final careful packaging.
