Null-Modem Cable (Serial to Serial Connection)

The shell connections are optional and are not required if the length of the cable is kept short.
The RI connections (Pin 22 on 25 Pin DB, Pin 9 on 9 DB) might not be required for all applications.

Straight-through Cable(25 Pin to 9 Pin adaptor, 9 Pin to 25 Pin adaptor)

If you want to change a 9 pin connector to a 25 Pin connector, or vice versa, use the following table.
Be wise, instead of cutting the connector off the original equipment, assemble a short adaptor cable which will plug onto the original connector.
