I enjoy Playing Flight Simulator 98 when I'm free. The longest flight I have taken so far is one from Singapore to London. Even the background picture was taken using Flight Simulator 98 Scenery Singapore which I did a review sometime back in www.flightsim.com.
I know some fighter jocks out there who say Flight Simulator is a waste of their time because it is boring just trying to fly a Cessna when they can trade it for a F-22 or something high-tech. Well, flying a Cessna helps one to handle a plane in various situations like bad weather or engine failure which a combat simulator can't simulate half the time. After all, you get more chance to go on a Cessna than an F-22. In real life, I have flown Cessnas, Fokker 50s and Gliders. In Flight Simulator 98, I have these aircraft in my inventory and keep flying them for the sake of fun. Yes, it is possible to customise your collection of planes by downloading a few of them. My collection is mostly made up a Singapore related planes like SIA Jumbos, Fighters, Fokker 50s (My favourite plane to fly) and gliders.
I have met some friends over the net by playing FS98. (if you didn't know, you make more friends playing a cooperative game rather than a killing one) We exchange tips on how to become a better pilot even we are separated by Oceans and Borders.
I suggest you take up the challenge of flying by buying FS98. It's a sound buy and you'll won't regret it!
Oh yes, one more exciting thing that FS98 can do while others can't is the fact that you can make wall papers on the screens of which you take in. I have 3 of them.
