Apple
- The Apple Cinema Display.....22 inch flat LCD display!.....Big ideas
demand a bigger workspace, and you might say this monitor overdelivers.
With a 22-inch (diagonal) screen and stunning optics, the Apple Cinema
Display lets you see more of your layouts, more of your images, more
of your palettes and on-screen tools, and more of something you
probably haven’t been seeing much of lately—your desk.
CTX -
Getting more competitive, CTX is offering quality monitors at good
prices. Their 19" with USB hub is a steal.
DigiView -
Worthy of note is the 1709D,
a 17" .25 Diamondtron monitor.
MAG Innovision
- Highly rated monitors. Their DX15T and DX700T feature
Trinitron picture tubes and .25 dot pitch like the more expensive Sony
models. The DX715T features the superior Mitsubishi Diamondtron
picture tube.
Idek Iiyama -
The VisionMaster Pro is the one to beat.
KDS -
I just got a new 19" monitor from Korean Data Systems. It's
got great on-screen controls, crisp image quality, and it sure is big
compared to the 17" .26 I was using before. The edges of the
screen warp a bit, but that's pretty normal for a low-end monitor. Update:
Now they are offering a very affordable 19" monitor with a Sony
Trinitron picture tube. Um... could someone send me one? Please?
Mitsubishi-
They make the great Diamondtron picture tubes, and they make great
monitors featuring them.
Sony
- They make Trinitron tubes, and you can get them in very large sizes
with very low dot pitch, but I just can't get past those horizontal
lines in the screens.
Viewsonic
- Makers of high quality monitors. Respected for their serious
dedication to the needs of graphics professionals.
Wyse -
Quality monitors.
