In Arizona we take our 2nd Amendment Right to Bear Arms very seriously. If your in Tucson visit a BRASSROOTS meeting, or if your in Phoenix check out a S.A.F.E meeting. The 2nd Amendment Right doesn't mean you just have the right to target shoot and beer cans with a 22. You have the right to bear arms to defend yourself AND so if the government gets out of hand you can overthrow it PERIOD!

A few things about Tucson Arizona.
Back in the old days (1960-70's) when drugs were smuggled the old fashion way by land across the Sonaran Desert Tucson was the Marijuana Capital of the USA. The pot was moved to Tucson from the Mexican border. Once in Tucson the Pot was then moved out on Interstate 10 and 8 where it was moved to Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Diego, Denver, New York, Chicago, and so on.
But when the dope smugglers switched to smuggling dope using airplanes Tucson lost its status as the Marijuana Import Center of the USA.
But illegal immigrants are still smuggled into the country the old fashion way - across the desert on land. So Tucson probably is still the illegal immigrant smuggling capital of the USA. Thats why we got all these border patrol goons in Tucson. Carlos shows the polite correct way to talk to a border patrol agent you happen to meet at Wal-mart :) - if all American's treated pigs the way Carlos treats border patrol agents pigs would have a healthy respect for our constitional rights.
When it comes to high tech stuff Tucson is probably the city that is most high tech city in the US with optics. Mostly making weapons for the U.S Government to help it kill people better and faster both in our home land in far off lands like Yugoslavia.
Along with our sister city to the north Phoenix, were called the Silicon Desert because of all the semicondutors fabs in the Tucson and Phoenix.
Even though Tucson is 100 miles (160 km) south of Phoenix, Tucson is generally 10F/5C degrees cooler then Phoenix. This is because Tucson is at an altitude of 2500 feet (760 m) while Phoenix is at an altitude of 1000 feet (300 m). In the deserts higher altitude means cooler weather. But it can be hot in Tucson the record is 117F/47C while the record in Phoenix is 122F/50C.
In the winter Tucson has nice warm desert weather, but you can drive 30 miles (50 km) to the northeast and go skiing on Mount Lemmon. Mount Lemmon is the most southern ski resort in the USA. If you look on a map you will see Tucson and Mount Lemmon are south of San Diego. Mount Lemmon is almost 2 miles above sea level. Its altitude is 9157 feet (2800 m).
2 Las Vegas used to be in Arizona until the evil Federal government stole Paiute County from Arizona and gave it to Nevada in 1875. The the theives in Nevada then renamed it to Lincoln County, and at some point the folks in southern Lincoln County suceeded and formed Clark County which is where Las Vegas is today.
