The Monticello Computer Group was formed in October '96 and has attracted an attendance which varies from about a dozen to thirty persons. Local representatives from four businesses which provide service to computer users are usually present: Economical Computer Systems, FutureNet Systems, P & D Computing and Xtreme PCS. Other members range in expertise from "Just getting started..." to "up-graders," an ISP and professionals earning a living in the computer field. We are all age levels and all expertise levels.

The meeting dates have CHANGED to the third Monday of each month at the Jefferson County Extension Office, located right behind the post office, in Monticello, Florida.

This Monday the 16th. of Nov. is the third Monday of the month and, if anyone is interested, is the time for the next Monticello computer Club Meeting. If you are planning to attend the meeting, please call John Eveland at 997-4785 to let him know. If no one calls him then he will assume that no one is coming and he will not have to get the key to open up the meeting room. Take care and we hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Based upon expressed wishes of participants, the Group plans to offer something for everyone at each meeting. For example: 1) Hands-on computer experience in the Computer Lab, 2) Video presentations, 3) Instructions for specific applications, 4) Group discussions and 5) Opportunities for sharing tips and problem-solving.

It is a good idea to bring a few formatted floppy disks to our meetings. Some of the members have and are willing to share legally shareable shareware that they have found useful and/or entertaining.

Anyone having an interest in PC-type computers
is encouraged to attend our meetings.
