As a Professional Guy

I did my schooling in Chennai,India until 12th grade and graduated as Bachelor in Computer Science Engineering from Coimbatore Institute of Technology, affiliated to Bharathiar University,Coimbatore.

I got my first job in campus as a Graduate Engineering Trainee in Information System Division of Larsen & Turbo Limited, a Multi-National Construction Company, head quartered in Chennai, India. I joined the Team after my degree in July,1996 and worked with them for one and half year. I worked in development projects under DEC and Windows Platform applications. I got promoted as Software Analyst.

But I decided to change the company to realize my dream of landing to America.Digital India offered me a Software Engineer position in Bangalore, India. I joined them on Jan,1998 and working with them since then.I am in the Software Industry for the past 7 years after my degree. My long time ambition is to start my own business one day and help others in their career.

I landed in US on Feb 18,1999 to work in Y2K Projects under DEC based Platforms. This chance opened up a big opportunity for me to experience the great dream of my life. After Y2K, I switched myself to work in Microsoft Products by completing MCSD(Microft Certification for Solution Developer). Presently I am working in latest Web-based technology like ASP,VBScript,JavaScript, IIS, SqlServer etc for HP Corp, Houston Tx. Parent company of Digital India. I also completed MCSD.NET recently in Nov 2003.

As a Common person

I am a Yankee Doodle meaning my birthday fall under USA independence day. Lots of people celebrate my birthday with fireworks and crackers in America.Its a great feeling to have holiday for your birthday.

I decided to explore this land of fortune. Every country is unique in its own natural and cultural ways. I start feel myself with full of options and felt I am independent and can do anything which will make me happy.I am a fun loving guy by nature and love to spend time outside. I experienced a great outing by going out for hiking, biking to the near by White Mountains when I was in Mass. I been to most of the East coast places like Niagara falls, Newyork, Newjersey, Washington, Columbus, Louseville, Orlando and WestCoast just started with SanFransico. Most of the places I drove by car, so I had driven a lot. I love to drive.

An unforgettable opportunity knocked my life and I am happy that I took the right decision. I am a Ballroom & Swing dancer. I start to learn dancing from Sep,2000. I also discovered some new friends in the dancing class Dave, John, Nancy and Sylvia. I am really lucky to have them as my friends. They are very kind and great. We named ourselves as Fab 5 (Fabulous Five) and also started to go outside for dancing and other social activities. Click here to know more about Fab 5. Since then I have taken lot of swing classes and transformed myself to do better Swing and Lindy Hop. I danced the whole night in lindyexchange held in boston this memorial day(2001) weekend. I also took some private lessons with Debbi monk in DNE. She is great, funny, amazing instructor. I also got a chance to do Latin dance in a show organized by DNE. It was my first show in the stage. I also taught 2 sessions of Swing beginner class in my office. After getting married and shifting to houston, I am trying to get back in track and have fun dancing. Hope I will back to my previous stage.

I visited India in March,2001 for my Sister wedding and had great time. I also had a week long vacation (July 1 - 9,2001) trip to Columbus via Phili. It was a great trip with lot of fun with my cousin family.

Second trip to India was last Dec 25,2002 to visit my family, see my newly born niece & find a bride for me. Niece was so cute and cuddly. They named her as Shrivardini. This trip was just happened in the last minute. I had good fun and great time. I did find a bride after big long search and got engaged on Feb 21st, 2003. Actually I came back on Feb 6th, so engagment happened without my presence.

Third trip to India in Jun 2003 for my wedding. Great day in every indians life happened for me on Jun 11th 2003. Had a great reception & wedding and seems that everything went so fast. I met some of my collegemates after a long time. Finally I found the other part of my life. My Wife Arunadevi. She is here with me in Houston.I love her a lot and she is so adorable, loving, caring person. We are havings lots of fun. We went to Colorado springs for an official trip but had a chance to go around and check things out. We also visited Denver during our colorado trip. We are visiting india this Dec-Jan 05 which will be my 4th Trip. Hope to have great fun.

We went to india as planned during Dec-Jan 05 which was my 4th Trip. Aruna left early in Nov to have more time with her family. I went in Dec 26th and we both came together on Jan 20th. We had a very nice time visiting relatives. Had a big family feast ceremony which was pending since our marraige.We went to Thirupathi and other temples. We had great time. This trip especially dedicated to my lovely wife, Aruna. We expected to go to India again in Mid 2005 for my sisters marriage.

As we suspected, we had another trip to India in Aug-Sep 2005 to attend my sister's wedding. We went together on Aug 12th. Helped my parents with the Wedding Preparation, also tookcare of my IGURUS and CHOLA Traders business meetings. Had fun going to beach & movies and I got back on Aug 29th. Aruna will be staying bit longer to spend more time again with her parents. She will be coming back on Sept 24th. It was our 5th Trip. Expect no more trip for another 2-3 years and plan to tour different places around the world.

Achievements & Ambitions

I started to attend Toastmaster meetings in our office during Nov 2000. Its a organizations where you can improve your communication skill by giving speech and also overcome stage fear by facing lot of people. I joined as a member in the club after 2,3 guest appearances and gave my first Icebreaker speech on Jan 10,2001 about myself, I did it well. Nancy & John helped me giving some feedback and listening me. I am aimed to finish the CTM(Competent ToastMasters) by End of March 2002.

As I planned completed my CTM by 21st March 2002 and became a Competent ToastMaster. I really happy about my performance. I completed my ATM-B July 2005 finally after 2 years. Its lot of effort and hard work. My next goal is to work on the CL and ATM-G.

I am was a runner & marathoner. I completed my first ever Boston marathon in my life on Apr 2002. It was a great feeling to finish it. Click here to know more about it. I have done other half marathons. I am not running anymore because of foot problems. Running was a good sport which allowed me to talk to myself and reflect upon good and bad things. I love to do again if I get another chance but don't want to risk and worse my foot problem.

I have taken classes for swimming and trying to learn it. I have taken classes for Ice Skating. Learnt how to skate and have fun. My goal is have fun in different ways. Ambition is to keep dancing. Aruna, my wife also showed interest in dancing and started to take classes from May 05 and dancing with me. It is really great fun dancing with my wife. She is also planning to learn skating and skate with me.

I learnt lot of things in my life and met lot of good people. Great Scholar Swami Vivekanda's quote "Arise, Awake and Stop not till the goal is reached"
has a very big impact in every stage of my life.

Have Dreams, set realistic goals, never ever give up on them, be confidence and reach them with hard work.
