There is a nearly fatal disease called Javaholism that is rapidly spreading across the Internet. It usually starts with a seemingly innocent fascination with Java applet programming, but eventually leads to hard-core network application development. People afflicted with Javaholism typically end up being withdrawn from the non-virtual world, and tend to have a crazed look in their eyes. One of the common symptoms of Javaholism is an uncontrollable desire to connect devices together and make them "talk to each other". At Javaholics Anonymous, we share our experiences in the spirit of recovery.
