How to UNZIP a SuperZip/ZIP Archive .RUN file.

SuperZip/Zip Archive has the ability to create a SELF Extracting archive.  Unzipping this file can be tricky.

Some notes first.

  • The RUN version of an archive will stop unzipping if it detects an error.  An error can be something like a directory not existing or a file already existing, so...
  • It's a good idea to create the directory(s) you are trying to unzip.
  • As an aside, a corrupted archive will produce a "ERC 7 Not Implemented error".

  •

    To unzip a .RUN archive.
You need to RUN the file with some parameters.
    The parameters are as follows:

    Command Run
    Run
Run file     <- name of the .RUN archive you are going to Unzip. ie. MISC1.RUN
      [Case]       <- leave BLANK
      [Command]    <- leave BLANK
[Parameter 1]<- "File list from (<*>*)" MAY be left blank or ie. <BC>*
[Parameter 2]<- "file list to (<*>*)" MAY only be left blank if Parameter 1 is blank.
      [Parameter 3]<- "Overwrite OK?" Y / N / BLANK
      [Parameter 4]<- "Confirm each?" Y / N / BLANK
[Parameter 5]<- "Print File" Leave blank OR enter a valid printer/file name.
.... the rest of the parameters are blank.
