Food Additives: Danger? is undergoing a change. The original June 1997 edition will always stay available, alongside the new edition, which is starting to take shape. Following are some ideas for the next edition after this December one:

• This new edition will contain corrections and new information on “genetically-modified food”.
• For those living in the European Union, New Zealand and Australia, there will be a food additives code numbers list available for you to print out.
• It’ll also form part of an HTML 4.0 “Strict”/CSS2 tutorial I’m finally creating (which was supposed to happen with the previous edition).

While the 1998 edition’s being made all or part of the 1997 edition will be mixed with it.

Technical Information

Monday, 5 April, 1999: I’ve just observed that this page’s HTML 4.0 “Strict” and CSS2 compliance is pretty much nil. I don’t have time to change all the certified references, though. Yay.

This 1998 edition’s being designed with HTML 4.0’s Strict and Frameset DTDs and the CSS2 specification. Some web browsers may choke on some of the “HTML 4.0 Entities”—extended characters—in the new edition. Also, some browsers are known to choke on CSSs, though CSS-validated pages are designed to work properly without support for it.
