What's new on the W123 Page
|
31 JANUAR 2000.
Added a Workshop-Manual or a Book-tip page to the Workshop/Garage section. You can go directly to the page from here.
20 SEPTEMBER 1999.
Added a new page in the technical section; "Mercedes W123 Production Figures". This is a table with all the W123 models and production numbers for each year during the production time (1975 to 1986). I will update the fuel consumption page very soon (It will include all the W123 models, both Gas & Diesel).
2 SEPTEMBER 1999.
Added a "W123 Chat" to the "Owners Connection" section. I also updated the "W123 Message-Board" to the "W123 Forum" because I was unsadisfied with the service I was using (slow and bad-looking).
1 SEPTEMBER 1999.
Maybe someone noticed that I changed the name of the site. The old egoistic name with the "Sveinn" suffix was starting to annoy me, so I decided to modify the name a bit and now it is "The Mercedes-Benz W123 Place".
Added a new article by Jurgen (Jaguar) with informations on the baby-Benz W201 in the history section (also modified the time-line graph at the top of the page).
Updated the Index-page with desciptions of the sections.
31 AUGUST 1999.
I had to split up the Owners list because it was starting to take considerable time to load the page. I decided to have 100 entries on each page. I have not done anyting about the history translations yet, but new information about W123's litle brother, the W201, will be added to the History section soon.
23 AUGUST 1999.
Added a new page to the "Technical Corner" containing fuel comsumption data for the 200, 230E, 230CE, 250, 280E and 280CE. Hope to add more data soon.
23 JULY 1999.
Made many corrections to the W123 Models table. There where some minor errors here and there, but every other date in the production time column was wrong. I also added two new sections to the Technical Corner; "The W123 Body" and "The W123 Engine". I also added some text in the header of "The W123 Models" concerning the structure of the model names. I didn't finish the new fuel consumption section, besides I need additional information since I only have access to the 4 cynlinder Sedan information. If you have any information on other models, pleace send it to me.
22 JULY 1999.
Did some reorganization to the table "The W123 Model" in the "Technical Corner". I did split the models into two categories; Gasoline Engine Models and Diesel Engine Models for better comparance.
20 JULY 1999.
Added a new capter to the menu; "History Course". I made a graph of the production timeline for the Mercedes-Benz models the where in production the same time as the W123. There are few sections with links to these models who are; W114/115 (the predecessor; Stroke-Eights), W124 (the successor), W116 (the first S-clsss at the time), W126 (the 2nd S-class during the production of the W123). I'm still working on the translation of the W123 history (going slowly).
