- Hello....My Name is Joel M Arrington and I am a professional Computer Consultant. I am originally from the Washington DC area but over the last several decades I have lived and worked in many cities in the US. Over the last several years I have been in Pennsylvania, Alabama, Kansas, Florida, Arizona, Michigan, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, California, Oregon, Colorado, New Hampshire, Connecticut, West Virgina, Massachusetts, Delaware, South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Mississippi, Louisiana, Nevada, Minnesota and Missouri. I have even had my job take me overseas a couple of times over the years. I am presently working out of the Baltimore, Maryland area.
- I have done
volunteer work with several non-profit and not-for-profit organizations across the US.
- I have been a trainer and instructor and have had the privilege of working with thousands of students across the US.
- I have been a guest lecturer for many different
non-profit, commercial and professional organizations across the country.
- My hobbies include deep sea fishing, bowling and
of course computers.
- I am a very lucky person. Unlike a lot of people my hobby
is also my job. I enjoy working on computers, which has
helped me become as good as I am.
- I have been a computer professional for over twenty five years
and have held numerous positions in the computer field
with both large and small firms.
- I hold or have held over 100 third party certifications from authorities such
as Brainbench and e-Certifications. These certifications
range from COBOL programming to Project Management to EDI to Windows System Administration to Unix Administration.
- I have worked on both mainframe and PC based systems
providing a wide variety of services to clients ranging
from COBOL programming to LAN (Local Area Network)
Administration.
- I do installation and configuration of most standard off
the shelf PC programs as well as custom designed
programming and suport most regular desktop environments.
- I am a Senior Computer Systems Engineer.
- I am always open to providing support services especially to minority
firms and startups. If you have a need in the Metropolitan Washington,
