My philosophy

In my life, I've never seen anything as beautiful as a sunrise in the desert on acid. Not to say that drugs are the answer, but they definitely give you a unique perspective on life. After seeing a sunset in that frame of mind, it's hard to go back to reality and say, "The Mona Lisa is beautiful" or "Cindy Crawford is beautiful". Not to say these aren't beautiful items, but they are not awe inspiring - and I think, in a way, thats what we are looking for in life. The "awe inspiring", the "breath-taking", the things that make you sit back and just appreciate the sheer immensity. Everyone searches for inspiration. Some people find God, some people find music, or good friends, or even double fudge ice cream - but it is the sheer pleasure of the "greater than I" that keeps us coming back for more.

It's more like an emotion that gets triggered by a physical stimulus - an abstraction of the physical where everything blurs and becomes meaningful and perfect. If you can find that spot - hold on to it. It's hard to find anything like that in life. Some people never find it.
