Here's what I have so far on performing Sol8 installs on Compaq Servers. Please send any feedback to this proceedure to me at richard.black@compaq.com.
When prompted for the cd to boot to, use the Sol8 SW 1 of 2. DO NOT USE THE CD MARKED "SOLARIS INSTALLATION CD"!!!
Choose the interactive installation path
Installation instructions are available on each of the DU disks from Compaq. They do mention booting to the Install CD; however, do not do that. Please use Software 1 of 2 instead.
