Ray Robertson

MAYFIELD, Ky.--Services for Ray Lynn Robertson, 66, of Mayfield, formerly of Wingo, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield. Elder John Sheppard will officiate. Burial will be in Acree Cemetery in Weakley County, Tenn. Mr. Robertson died at 1:35 a.m. Monday at his home.

He was a member, deacon and youth leader of the Community of Christ Church in Tri City. Mr. Robertson had been a member of the church for 49 years and also served as an assistant cook for youth camps.

He retired from General Tire and Rubber Co. in 1994 with 22 years of service. He was a master carpenter, and was former owner and operator of Robertson and Sons Grocery in Weakley County.

Mr. Robertson was a master Mason, with dual memberships in Cuba and Palmersville, Tenn.

He was a member and worthy patron of the Order of the Eastern Star No. 443 of Mayfield.

Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Bettye Crider Robertson; two daughters, Laura Ciampa of Raleigh, N.C., and Lynnda Mathis of Graves County; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

His parents were Raymond and Berdia Gargus Robertson.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home, where Masonic rites will be at 7 this evening.
