Welcome to my website!  First, a little bit about myself.  I've been working with computers for many years and spent 20 years in the IBM midrange environment:  System/34, System/36, and AS/400.  I retired two years ago from Land N Sea Distributing, where I was the MIS Director.  I've been playing with PC's for almost as long, but for the last several years I've been trying to learn all I can about them.  I joined ZDU three years ago to further that goal, and now I teach courses there in Visual Basic 6 Database Programming and SQL.  So, you see, you can teach an old dog new tricks!

Now that I'm a "lady of leisure", I spend a lot of time in my back yard with my hands in the dirt.  I love to plant flowers and I have some beautiful rose bushes. I also enjoy doing needlework.  I'm working on some Disney characters right now for my grandchildren.  My kitchen and dining room are my "galleries", where I display my handiwork.

Since I found ZDU - an online "university"  offering all kinds of instructor-led courses and self-study tutorials - I spend a lot of time online.  Click on the graphic to the right and find out for yourself how much fun you can have while learning!  After a year of study, I progressed to being a Teaching Assistant in several Visual Basic courses.  Now I'm an Instructor for ZDU in VB 6 Database Programming and Intro To SQL.  I taught college in the '70s so it's wonderful to be back teaching again
