Looking for a game to challenge your vocabulary? Or planning to challenge a friend?
Words of Fortune is a very popular and challenging word game which allows you to play alone in tournament
or practice mode or play with a friend in tournament mode.
The game was originally designed in 1997 in 12 days.
It was my very very first VB program. As people started appreciating the game, I released
it as a freeware. The game is available for downloading from most of the popular freeware/shareware sites.
More than 60,000 copies of the game have been downloaded since then.
In very short time, I made 15 releases of the game, mostly to add new features, add music,
improve UI etc. A primary school in Australia is using the game to help children learn words through fun.
Few commercial companies are distributing the game as freeware on CD's. In very little time, Words
of Fortune gained huge popularity among people of all ages. Some people use the game to
gain vocabulary for SAT/GRE tests. I am busy with other projects now, however I do plan
to add more features and fun stuffs to this game in future versions. So, if you

has been tested throughly on Windows 3.1, 95,NT the author is NOT
RESPONSIBLE for any physical or mental damage it may cause you
or your computer. The word list (80,000+) is supplied as a complement.
The author is not responsible for any word that maybe listed in those
text files. You may delete/edit the word files (.ctv files in the game directory).
The ctv files may contain any word that a dictionary may contain. But you may
edit the files to your choice and need. You may create your custom word list
and play with it.
This is a FREEware. Author is not responsible for any bug that the software may contain.
Although this is one of the most downloaded free game on the net, these warnings
are placed to make sure you understand it.

Instructions
Windows 95,98,NT versions have full support for uninstallation.
Windows 3.1/3.11 version has no support for uninstallation.
For Windows 3.1/3.11 version, simply unzip the ZIP file. No installation required.
For Windows 95,98,NT EXE version run the executable. The wizard will do the installation.
For Windows 95,98,NT ZIP version Unzip and then run the executable. The wizard will do the installation.
Complete your Registration On-Line to Register and receive the FREE KeyCode
(required).

Required System File
NOT REQUIRED (SKIP THIS STEP IN GENERAL): If you
get an error saying, "required VB runtime library VBRUN300.DLL missing",
while starting up "Words of Fortune" then you are missing a required windows
file that should be in your windows system. Download (To download the file
directly to your local drive, Click the link with your mouse while holding
down your shift key)
VBRUN300.DLL and place
the file in your windows\system directory.
