Welcome to this site where you can find informations about the project M A P . M A P stands for MP3 Audio Player and runs under MS-DOS. The purpose of this project is to create the hardware and software required to produce a stand-alone MP3 player for a home stereo system with remote control. With the M A P you are able to play MP3 coded songs and audio CD-tracks. The hardware design is very easy and the software running quite well. The software (demoversion) and all information needed to build the hardware is available on this website, and anyone with moderate electronics skills should be able to construct their own M A P compatible player.
