Small Targes'

All of these Targes' are leather glued to 5/8 or 3/4" plywood. Real upholstery nails are used for the decorations on the front.
Brass screws on the backs hold on handles, etc. for the ones that could be used for "serious play", i.e. SCA.
These are all hand made by myself.
The leather is probably chrome-tanned and the coloring may rub off onto clothing, especially the red one.
Black and Red Targes' have adjustable upper arm straps, by lacing.
All have an edge ring (or two) for wall hanging.

Typically these "shields" have a detachable central spike that threads (by hand) into the center piece.
For safety these are not included, especially around kids as they are about 8 inches long and sharpened. This then becomes another weapon.
