Before you view my resumé, allow me first to say a bit about myself. I have an extremely strong background in object oriented design. My strengths are debugging and re-design, and I am driven not only to complete tasks but to complete them in the best possible way. By "best" I mean achieving the optimal solution for the company, the customer, and the code. That means that the design must be simple and maintainable with provisions for the future, but not to the point that the delivery date suffers -- this often means late night and weekend sessions, but we do what we have do to for the code, don't we?

My areas of interest are more towards the problem solving arena than the mindless grind that a script writer or user would enjoy. The projects that have occupied most of my time have had more of a predictive nature, and tried to answer questions for the user instead of simply asking for input and storing the result. I enjoy the elegance that object oriented languages afford, and would rather work longer hours laboring to achieve a simple, scalable, maintainable solution than hack out some fix in the 40 hour work week that will require 80 hours of revisions in the next 6 months.

An extensive experience writing installation engines for leading host connectivity software has given me a strong background in Java, HTML, XML, C++, MFC, COM, Active-X, and knowledge of how they function in a Windows environment. It was my team's responsibility to ensure that the modules not only ran correctly, but installed and interracted with the system properly.

My salary requirements are flexible, depending on the nature and scope of the position. I am currently living in Seattle Washington, but am more than willing to relocate as I have just returned to the country and have not put down roots.

I am a coder, it is my passion. I have been an invaluable member of the teams I've been priveleged to be part of, as I would yours.
