LUCKY & LIZ FROM THE BEGINNING |
Liz and Lucky first met outside of Kelly’s. Their first meeting was actually a memorable one for me. Elizabeth was dressed in the shortest, skin-tight, leopard dress. To my recollection, she might have been smoking as she complained to Lucky that the “Old Hag” inside Kelly’s, had refused to serve her.
Lucky, annoyed, informed her that that “Old Hag” was Ruby, a member of his family.
As they got to talking some more, Liz pointed out Lucky’s beaded bracelet, and suggested that they go shopping for new jewelry.
Lucky again informed her that his little sister, Lu-Lu, had made it for him. Liz then shrank back, embarrassed, and asked him if there was anyone else in his family that she hadn’t managed to insult.
When Liz returned home, I believe after taking Audrey’s car without permission, she plopped down on the couch, grabbed a clipboard of pink paper, drew a heart, and wrote “Liz & Lucky” inside.
However, the romance had not yet begun for Lucky. He still had his eye on Liz’s older sister Sarah Webber, who was sweet on Lucky’s older brother Nikolas.
It took a while for Liz to realize that Lucky even knew her sister. She once referred to him as “one of Sara’s dork boyfriends” when he called the house.
One night, when Lucky showed up to take Sarah out on a date, Liz answered the door and immediately exclaimed, “You found me!”
She later realized he was there to take out her “perfect” older sister and her resentment grew towards Sarah.

Over the next couple of months, Liz and Lucky became close to good friends. When PC High’s Valentine Dance came around, Lucky figured Sarah would be going with Nikolas and he decided to ask Liz, which she eagerly accepted.
However, Nikolas was unable to go with Sarah. So she asked Lucky if he would like to go with her. Lucky could not resist and he agreed.
When Lucky told Liz the news, that he was taking Sara instead, Liz was crushed. But she played it off and said that some jock had asked her as well.
When Lucky left, Liz put on the red dress and shoes she had planned to wear and set off on her own, bitter.
After the dance, Lucky and Sarah grabbed a bite to eat at Kelly’s. That’s when Lucky began to worry where Liz was. Sarah quickly assured him she had probably rented a movie and stayed home.
Following his instincts, Lucky went in search of Liz. He eventually found her in the park as she crawled out of the snow shivering. She was a mess with her nylons torn and blood trickling down her legs. She obviously been raped.
In the months to follow, Lucky stood by her and helped her past it. Literally, never leaving her side. And they finally realized their love for each other in that long period of time.

Their romance came to an end one horrible night. Elizabeth had been having dreams of Lucky in a fire. But Lucky assured her it was nothing and that he’d be all right.
But that night, Liz woke up with a bad feeling. She got up to call Lucky, but she couldn’t contact him. So she decided to go down to his apartment. Only to find that when she got their fire trucks and ambulances were all around.
Liz was told that Lucky had lit a candle and had fallen asleep. The curtains had caught on fire from the unattended candle. And Lucky suffocated in his sleep.
But in truth, one of Luke’s many enemies, Cesar Faison, had him locked up in cell while his friends, family, and Liz tought he dead.
As it turned out, Cesar Faison was working for another one of Luke's enemies, Helena Cassadine, and was keeping Lucky captive for her. Sadly, or not, when Helena decided to dispose of Faison, she had his getaway boat explode, killing him. But not before he told Luke the truth that Lucky was really alive.
After weeks of searching, Luke and Laura eventually found their son. Now that he's back home, his behavior is more bizarre than ever. He's been giving Liz mixed messages. One moment he tells her that there's nothing between them, the next he tells her he cares about her and acts like there's nothing wrong. A heartbroken Liz, had no choice but let of Lucky.
