    After reading your post, and doing some of my own investigation with my
friends, I was told about something else that MDG does.  Apparently, when
one of my friends went in to the store to get an upgrade, they almost ALWAYS
heard "Oh, we don't have that part in stock, however, we can upgrade you to
the next model up for $30 more."  I wanted to test this theory for myself,
and what do you know, I heard the exact same thing when I came in to upgrade
an old machine of mine.  So, if you weren't aware of that, there's another
thing they do.  I'm not up for any class action suits, but these guys surely
need to be put in their place, because they're selling their products on the
Shopping Channel, and a lot of people are being screwed I'm sure.
