You need mxDateTime modules for above:
If you have Linux with glibc: (for example Red Hat 5.1) you can download precompiled binaries here:

If you have trouble compiling mxDateTime: download DateTime simple:
It has 30 days per month, doesn't support weeks, etc...
It just has minimal support so Cyphesis works with it.

You need Python too. (included with Red Hat Linux and likely others Linux distributions too) Just type python at command line to see if you have one. Links for more info and short and long Python tutorials.
(Performance critical parts will be written in C/C++/Objective-C.)
