I am currently studying to become a Teacher of English as a Second Language (T.E.S.L.) at Concordia University. I am interested in learning how to use computers in language learning. It is obvious that computers are tools that are making their presence known in schools and in even more now in language classrooms. Computers offer an interesting alternative method of teaching and learning. There are many games and quizes which can be done individually or can be adapted to the students needs.

Here is a web site I found to be of particular interest. It offers articles, connections to other ESL links, lesson plans and loads of great ideas and tips for great classes! It also offers tests, quizes and exercises students can do on their own as well as others suggestions of activities for teachers to use. There are also links to interesting TESL articles and tips which are useful and practical (especially for the for less experienced ESL teachers). I strongly recommend visiting Jerome & Deborah's Page of ESL Links.

What is taught is not always what is learnt and what is learnt is not always what is taught.

Here is a picture (drawn by Gary Larson) which shows a dog trying to seduce a cat into the dryer with 'cat fud' --or 'cat food' to the rest of us! This picture was placed here because I think that it is funny and because it has a certain degree of phonetic humor!
