LINKS
or
PEOPLE I KNOW, PLACES I GO

100.5 The Fox - A radio station I used to work at. (I did on-air Mondays-Fridays 6p-11p for a while)

Ang's Overlap - The biggest Tori Amos fan ever. And more!

AnimeNation - One of the best sources on the Internet for all sorts of Anime videos and merchandise

The Black Rose - Beautiful, smart, and funny (and that's just her website... imagine what she's like in person!) She's also the only person I know who would actually pay a penny for my thoughts (although I bet she regretted doing that, heh)

Cookies: What they are and how they work - I'm including this link so some people will get a clue. Web browser cookies are not a security hazard. They can't be used to collect private information or to spy on you. I hate it when paranoid, misinformed tech-illiterates get everyone all scared over nothing.

Debian GNU/Linux - Don't fear the penguins. It's the chic operating system (if operating systems could be chic, that is).

DICE Corporation - Where I work. It's not just a job, it's an adventure!

Expedia - THE travel planning site on the web. Planning on going somewhere or just curious to see how much it would cost for plane tickets... or a hotel? How much more does first class really cost anyway? Worth clicking just to play around with.

Julesie's Homepage o' Love - There are plenty of great, beautiful girls I know that I haven't scored with (I know, it's hard to believe), and Kate is one of them. Be sure to tell her that I'm still waiting for her to have time to go out and do something with me. ;-)

Legend of The Red Dragon - For the Web - BBSes, the real pioneers of the information age offered entertainment to their community before the Internet became all the rave. Legend of the Red Dragon (or LORD for short) was perhaps the most popular BBS game of all time (right up there with Trade Wars 2002). Now you can go retro and play it on the web. A must for anyone who longs for the days when they were still called "door games".

Lies, Damn Lies & ICQ Messages - Have you ever gotten forwarded rumors via ICQ about viruses, or charges for using ICQ? This page (run by a fellow Freak) is a good one to reply to those nasty rumors with. So good, in fact, that Mirabilis themselves have linked to it.

MediaFind - Formerly "The Chaos Search Engine". The ultimate MP3 search engine.

Muerte's Homepage - Taking hypertext to the extreme! Also, the Freak Army ICQ list is available on his page.

PalmCentral - When I need programs for my PalmIII, I go here. You should too.

Rabid Child's Rantings and Ravings - Rabid Child is a mega-cool cybergirl I've known for years (and she's also my official OL girl!). Go check out her page, or I'll have to hurt ya!

Replay Amusements - If you're looking to purchase a pinball machine, this is the place to go. My experience with Replay Amusements has been very good. I got my pinball machine, Data East's "The Who's Tommy" through Replay, and through the whole process, they were very helpful and friendly. My next pinball machine is going to be purchased through Replay, and if you're even curious about owning a pinball machine, you should check them out as well.

Radiofun Online Network / Talkspot.com - The home of the Dan & Scott Show, the largest source of live comedy and entertainment on the Internet, and the Internet's first comedy talk show, broadcast Monday through Friday nights in RealAudio.

Slashdot - News for nerds.

Redhat Software - Creators of the extremely popular RedHat Linux (the Linux I use). The minds at their labs are working on other cool projects as well... and it's all copylefted!

Star Traks - Make sure your parody bit is set, because this is the mother of all Star Trek parodies. It takes a little time to get into it, but trust me, it's worth it.

Tickets.Com - Need tickets to just about anything? Sporting events? Concerts? You can get it here, and from the comfort of your own computer. Isn't this e-shopping stuff great?

UOX3: The Ultima Online Server Emulator - Getting bored with Origin's UO servers? How about running your own? UOX3 is the most full-featured server package... and since it's under GNU Public License, you get the source code too!

Shocked Web Sites
All of these sites demonstrate amazing uses of Macromedia Flash. Get the plugin if you're using Netscape (IE4 users, don't worry, the ActiveX control will be automatically installed when you visit a Shocked site) before venturing to any of these.

GaboCorp - The word is that this isn't a real web design company, but merely a front set up by Macromedia to generate hype for Flash. Who cares... it's a good site!

Helios Design Laboratories - Good site.

Morphmedia - Not a bad site. A couple minor things could be better, but this is still a good example of what can be done with Flash.

NRG - Great site. Very good from beginning to end.

This list is nowhere near complete. If I missed you, please let me know! I'll add you posthaste! 1
