East Coast (USA)

USA is big, really big. It took 5.5 hours for me to reach Washington from San Jose by Boeing plane cruising at 0.85mach. This explains geographical richness of United States of America.
My destination in East coast was Washington DC and New York to be covered in mere 4 days. Well, good enough for a glimpse of a city.

Empire State Building

Empre State building was world's tallest building for 5 decades (1931-77). It is about 4/5th of world tallest building Taipei 101. Standing firmly on 5th avenue, it is popular destination for aerial view of the city. The observatory at 102nd floor is open till midnight.

Concorde

The first and last time I saw a Concorde was at Intrepid Sea-Air-Space museum, New York. It is too unfortunate that world's only supersonic commercial plane had to end up in a museum. Not because of technological incompetence but due to economical inviability and environmental concerns.
