because TELEBRASILIA serves the BRAZIL capital city : BRASILIA.
TELEBRASILIA Data network team is among the highest qualified persons in that
area in BRAZIL.
In 1995 TELEBRASILIA issued a tender to built a INTERNET access and Multiprotocol Network with
FRAME RELAY Backbone.Competition was keen.All the leading manufacturers are
present , but after several analysis PHILIPS was choosen.
The TELEBRASILIA INTERNET and Multiprotocol network is very advanced , due to the fact that data trafic was deviated
at the local stations and flows centraly through a FRAME RELAY NETWORK.
The main technical requirement for this network was the ability to interconnect INTERNET plus legacy protocols.
In order to do that , the Frame Relay protocol was choosen for the trunk lines.
