The History of Ships Named Hornet

Welcome to the Uss Hornet registry 1714-A. You're probably wondering what ever happened to the original Hornet. Well, the original is still here, but is being abused by several Academy students who tend to bash her up from time to time. Although the original was a scout vessel, her legacy lives on. Please read this information before going on.

USS Hornet NCC-10523 Renaissance class
The Hornet was part of Picard's armada at Romulan Neutral Zone.

The ship you are now standing on is the Uss Hornet-A. Commisioned on stardate 2353.77, the Hornet is a Galaxy class starship with minor differences. This designation is considered as being the Galaxy-2 class because of upgrades and re stengthening of it's power distribution etc. Hosting a crew of over 1000, the Hornet is ready for the inevitable battle with the Borg. Built at Utopia Planitia like all the other Galaxy class ships, the Hornet has all the power of the well known Enterprise-D plus. The Hornet was the only Galaxy class vessel at the second battle of Terra along with the armada of starfleet vessels.
