Fiction Factory, by Joel Downer
Version:         1.0
Author:          Joel Downer
Registration: US$15.00
Description:
Fiction Factory is a multi-user storytelling game.  One user would start a story, or choose from the pre-started stories, and the rest add to the story as they see fit.  There's no telling where the story will end!
This game features ANSI/RIP support, password protected stories, Sysop-configurable anonymous entries, and Sysop editing options.
Notes:
  • When you make a BBS menu entry for this game, make a double entry.  One is for the regular users, and one is for the Sysop.  On a Maximus system, your MENUS.CTL file should have something resembling the following entries:
     Xtern_DOS   FF.cmd_%k      <Sysop "Fiction Factory"
     Xtern_DOS   FFsys.cmd_%k   =Sysop "Fiction Factory"
The FF.CMD (batch) file is the one that comes with the distribution package, while the FFSYS.CMD file is a copy of FF.CMD, but with the /EDIT switch added to the FICTFACT.EXE command line.
What does this do?  It allows the Sysop access to story renaming and deletion functions, while regular users just get the regular door.

Iron Ox, by Joel Downer
Version:        3.0*
Author:         Joel Downer
Registration: US$20.00
Description:
Iron Ox is a planetary conquest game, combining elements of Sid Meier's Civilization with multiple human players in a real-time environment.  The goal is to survive, and to do so you'll need land, money, and power.
The storyline is as follows:  You are a convicted felon who has chosen to be deported to a colonial planet.  When you get there, you have to use your wits to build your empire.
Of course, everyone else wants to get in on the action.  It's up to everyone to help each other out, or fight to the finish.
This game features ANSI/RIP graphics, a well-developed atmosphere, real time multinode play, and inter-BBS game support.
Notes:
  • Version 3.10 of Iron Ox has been released for DOS and Win95.
