When I came to Higgins & University
I was prepared for the four:
Four corners, three ways to go. As always.

Instead, I came to five.

Five ways. Maybe the Almighty God (perhaps
Drunk on Ambrosia) had lifted, as a dinner-plate,
Two bits from some other intersection.

I had planned on going straight.

So now: a dilemma: left, or left-straight
Or right, or right-straight? I do not know
Where each goes, or if one leads where I am going.

And how the hell will I cross?
