It's just a poem, nothing more.
You wonder why I write it.
I write to see the smile on your face
And to see you all excited.
I write them to help keep you in love
With someone as simple as me.
I write them selfishly for myself
Just so I can see;
That beautiful smile upon your face
You know, the one that I adore.
I write them because I love you so much.
It's definitely not a chore.
I can't offer you diamonds or rubies and such,
Fur coats, cash an jewels
Are really just too much.
All I can give you is part of me
And I hope your love will soar,
When you read my poems and look at me,
I know you love me more.
