So you came for more, eh? Let me start by telling you a little about why this site is here.

It started off being just a simple attempt at creating a website to showcase some of the poetry that I write for my wife and grew into something very unexpected. As I continued viewing other peoples websites and saw the marvelous things that were being done, I decided to try and learn more for myself.

I found a website created by a talented woman named Katie. Through lots of e-mails, she convinced me that I could learn this stuff called HTML. With her guidence, I have learned quite a bit and am continuing to advance everyday. Thank you Katie! Since I started, I have now learned HTML, JavaScript and PSP7. Currently I'm teaching myself XML.

Now if I may, a little about myself....

My name is Tom and I'm really a romantic kind of guy. Whenever the mood hits, I write poetry. Most all of my poems were written for my wife. She enjoys getting them as much as I enjoy writing them. I love to see the look on her face when I've written a good one, and as my best friend, she's not afraid to tell me when they're not so good.
We live in Richmond, VA with our three boys, ages 8, 7 and 4. Yes, life is quite exhausting. If that isn't enough, I've been taking Tae Kwon Do since September of '96 and received my Black Belt in April of 2000 (Congratulatory cheers accepted). I hope to get my kids involved soon.
Aside from all this (and when I have the time!) I like to read, play tennis, listen to music and learn/play on the computer. I read most anything I can get hold of especially if it is humorus or tutorial.
I like most all music but have a craving for different things at different times. Sometimes I want AC/DC or Fleetwood Mac and at other times Jimmy Buffett is the music of choice. Lately, I've been busting stress with
the music of Alison Krauss.

Jimmy on MY Beach

If I could afford it, I'd be living in someplace like Key West, with my own private beach and comfortable hammock. My backdoor view My wife, a bottle of rum some spiced shrimp and a Buffett CD would end my day. But I live in the real world so I just have to dream.

As I said before, this site is primarly here to showcase my poems so I'll quit talking about myself and let you continue. Before you go to my poems, please check out some pictures of the things that make me the man I am.
