Chromium b1.1
Action for Adobe® Photoshop® 4.0
April, 1997 o Steven Alexander II o alex@prairieweb.com
Fixed a few blurry and ugliness things. One resolution
now . . . added the much asked for gradient presets.
Requirements
1. PC based action only.
2. There must be a directory called "c:\windows\temp".
3. Requires KPT 3.0 Gradient Designer to be present in the "photoshp\plugins" directory.
4. Can run on low resolution files well (16MB ram), but higher resolution files eat up
tons of ram, 32MB recommended or even more.
Installation
1. Load action, and run in button mode. Import the GRD presets
into KPT GD (use "-" and "import").
Tips
1. This action is designed to work on a FLATTENED image only.
2. Any size is fine-although it is always best to start about twice the
final size or at least 200hx600w-when you reduce it down, the image will
be sharper. Just a white background will do . . .
3. Black text on white background.
4. For best results, center text by selecting all (if on alone on a layer),
cut and paste again.
5. Set your image size to be about 25 pix larger than type all around perimeter.
6. If you do not have KPT 3: when the action calls for a gradient, you will get
an error (out of memory, or filter not found)-at this point, simply select the
PS 4 GD tool and the "chrome" preset in the palette, and shift drag top to bottom
for a perfect fill-then click the action again (should be red because of stop).
If you have comments or questions, I welcome them. That's it-let me know how it works for you!
