Introduction:
Like numerous other metallic effects, the gold effect is extremely
popular.
Andrew Bode,
after many hours of experimentation, came up with his own action.
Although my output of the action gives a dull gold, Andrew's output
[check his page] gives a more polished look.
Usage:
You will need to have your desired text t[o affect] on a separate layer.
Larger and bolder text produce better results.
Notes:
If you receive a warning stating that 'No pixels are more than
50% selected. The selection edges will not be visible,' input
smaller values [ie, start over again] when the action prompts you.
Hints: [not always true]
For shinier text, make sure to use a high 'detail' and 'darkness'
level for the 'photocopy' option.
Sharper peaks in the curves option will give you shinier results.
