It's that time of year again, Spring has sprung. And with it comes the thaw, free eggs at The Brick, and the Running of the Bulls through snow drifts in downtown Cicely.
Northern Exposure was a popular, Emmy winning, television series that aired on CBS from 1990 through 1995. Even though our beloved show is no longer on the air, its spirit lives on in Moosefest. Moosefest is a fan-created, fan-run, Northern Exposure fan festival. Fans have made the annual pilgrimage to Roslyn, Washington, filming site for Cicely, Alaska, since 1997. Moosefest 2004 is sure to be better than ever!
This year's festival is slated for July 23-25. It's a chance for Northern Exposure fans, young and old, to visit filming sites, meet and interview cast members, and to have a great time meeting other fans of the show. Whether it's swapping memories of a special episode, paying a visit to the KBHR studio, or dancing on Ruth Anne's grave, Moosefest is sure to be a truly memorable experience!
Events included in this year's festival are a guided walking tour of filming sites, bus tour of filming sites led by the Location Manager from the show, trivia contest (always a lively happening!), a group photo, a mini-golf tournament, interviews with stars from the show, Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast and dinner, Sunday breakfast and lunch, and plenty of time to socialize with other fans.
Registration for Moosefest 2004 is limited. Once our capacity is reached, registration will be closed. Registration prices are: All-Weekend: Adult $149; Additional Adult $109; Youth (13-17) $109; Child (12 & under) Free. Saturday-Only: Adult $99; Youth (13-17) $79; Child (12 & under) Free. Proceeds from an auction and raffle held during Moosefest support Roslyn area charities and non-profit groups.
