WILLOW 2

The Wild Willow now stood alone in the forest So much to give to the world but trepidation preceded his decisions. Periodically a wounded sparrow came to linger upon his branches. The sparrow too was cautious as she had broken many a wing from perilous landings. The sparrow was a enigma to most, including herself, but the wild willow understood. The sparrow never stayed long, always recalling the past and running from involuntary fear Time slowly passed until one day, from out of an unexpected corner come a white dove. The dove instantly caught the attention of the willow. There was something warm and familiar about the dove and the willow wondered if this could be the one to extend his sanctuary. But upon first scrutiny that possibility dissolved, the dove was Intertwined.

Meanwhile the sparrow's confidence grow and the willow began to extend his branches out to her. They began to build a nest together and the sparrow began to heal. Aft this while the dove circled around the willow, now and then alighting upon one of his branches with ever increasing determination. The sparrow was well aware of the dove and knew the doves intentions even more expressly then the willow himself. One day while the sparrow was asleep, the dove came once again to descend upon the willow. The dove with all her beauty and strength tried to win the willow away from the sparrow. The dove assured the willow that she was now free of all restraints and wanted to soar with the willow. As in a gentle breeze the willow swayed. Uncertain of which path to take and believing in solitary dedication, this was not an easy choice. Ultimately he stayed by the sparrow for he knew she was still too weak to make it alone and his job was not yet finished.

When the willow turned back to the sparrow he found that she was no longer asleep. But awake and fully aware of the stratagem of the dove. But this was not a worry of the sparrow for she knew that the willow had remained faithful. The sparrow even offered the willow his freedom for there was no pharisaical bond between them. But the willow declined, for the willow knew that he had to stand by the sparrow until she found herself, and he knew this was beginning to happen.
