what drives mankind to keep creating??
what drives mankind to compete against others to be supreme?
what drives mankind to place their faith in icons?
what drives mankind to use technology to instill fear in others?
what drives mankind to be warlike and not co-operative towards
one common goal?
Fear of being superior and thus vulnerable... fear of being inferior and thus vulnerable? fear of being taken for a fool? Fear of being not taken for a fool, thus proving there is no one listening to you anyhow? what do we measure the strength of another by? what do we hold as sacred and in this western culture, what does man measure himself by? so rarely it is the person... it is his achievements... it is his bank balance, and the amount of mourners at his funeral... it is about false appearances of wealth and the acquired airs that go with it... it is not often heard that x did this because he felt so strongly about this, and he felt that he had to do something about it... instead we hear, x was a good man, he gave this amount to this cause... you don't often here about the heroes of the world that do things in their day to day lives that do make a difference to the lives of others... instead you hear that they gave millions to this or that... you see their pretty pics on the TV and think that they are making a difference... 'tis not often that you will find the stories of the 12 little guys in small communities, working with a certain group of people in a very closed type set up, but you will hear about how wonderful the popular charities are and how much they are doing for the world... its not terribly obvious... bandaid solutions usually require topping up and recurring next year... the real solutions are rarely heard of in any great fashion... for they don't sell instant smiles, they sell a lot of hard work and sacrifice for the inner satisfaction of really seeing something make a difference... these people are the modern version of miracles... they don't need to resort to glossy advertising because they make the community pay its own way and they use this growing ability to do so to the advantage of establishing trade within and externally on 50/50 basis... and becoming fairly much essential self sufficient... once the community is viable, the whole set up just moves camp... and this allows for it to start all over again... but each time in their wake they left principles and knowledge that canna help but to grow and to develop... these people don't hide behind the charities of the worlds names, they are usually either the entrenpreurs themselves as they have not got the money to pay the lackeys, or the paid lackeys... each in it for his or her own agenda, but there for the good of all... including themselves... and it is remarkably simple and profitable to plan around various things that would screw it up... and make adaptation allowances... everytime these people move, some stay, and some go, and some follow from the community, teaching a different way of life and they also learn and go back knowing more... some will not make it along the way and resist the wave of change and fortune, and they will simply form a minority as has happened through out history... these people don't trade on Gods to get their points across, they trade in producing results and effect through the use of that which they have directly on hand, as primitive as it may appear, you can work miracles if you have the miracle of knowledge to back you... bamboo if treated correctly can be an extremely and plentiful pipe of sorts... and costs nothing more than local labor... innovation... and imagination... innovation will always attract critical words from those who don't develop it... imagination will automatically happen, it is only when you try to over complicate thingsin your mind before your imagination gives you the whole story... its image is rather like the etcha sketch boards, it can twist and turn in any direction and one is much better off letting it finish BEFORE they try to figure it out... half a book is sometimes more dangerous than the whole... one can draw amazing things from the half, but gets the whole story and directly lead to the writers conclusion by the methods that the writer employs to empty their imagination... Fiction appears somewhat stranger than fact at times, but in reality that fiction you just read, and then saw in film and then you got the serials about it, were in fact a moving picture inside the writers head... it is allowing imagination full rein to bring out whatever possible situations it can, sifting them and much like selecting the menu in the start bit of your machine, you kick start something that if directed properly can turn out a best seller, fact or fiction... a writer will write about what it perceives about the world in which it lives and observes... and always this is only an opinion with an individual spin... consider how wonderful we all think Star Trek is in visual reality... realistically, if Hollywood had of had the same powers it does today, don't you think 20000 leagues under the sea would of done some wonderful things in its time to spark the imagination of the people who could then build off the image of the creator? Reality sees spacemen talking the Spock talk at times in some interviews and they can see the reality of their perspective of being out there in space, something we will most likely not get to do... not in the this conscious memory anyway... it sees actors elected to be president on his good guy standing in the world of make believe... Sometimes, somehow the world really needs to put forward a ban on total rational thought and set aside a couple of hours each week to get in touch with that imagination side of us again... Stress of trying to keep up is telling on all of us... we are losing the ability to tell our history through stories, we are too busy trying to be better than the next in the world of SCI-Fi... we are allowing our imaginations to direct the face of history, by buying into other life on other planets high tech sci-fi, and then we don't respect the exact same thing happening in the world of mystical religious beliefs... when one considers how hard the elders fought against the car concept and the mess we are in today, it stands to reason that their reluctance could of been a collective if it ain't broke don't fix it theory... and yet, we still moved forward... that generation saw the advent of modern technology sink in and so it accelerated tenfold over and over again... once upon a time if your work horse went lame you knew you had to put another between the traces, but these days if your high tech plough breaks down you gotta get some clown who studied for 6 years to work on it... it does not do a lot for the old pantyhose for fan belt thingo either... innovation that worked in a tight spot, superseded to the point of anything less than a mechanical engineer fourteen times removed... we have machine around this area that requires a mission impossible flight from Germany to fix... what is the point if mankind in general canna grasp the new concepts fast enough to keep up? where is the incentive for being innovative and imaginative... ?? Once upon a time you were promoted because you showed innovation, now it appears you are assessed not on your own innovative ideas, instead on your command of others innovative ideas... it does work well by proxy... you really do have to give it your all... just to stop some other clown stealing your imagination... too lazy to work their own... split personalities is something of a myth... these people are more often than not happy... and then they find themselves confronted with a bad thing and this causes a lot of problems... the modern version of it all is give you pills and don't succumb... the old timers just used to rid you of evil spirits.. which in itself was potentially more powerful if used correctly, for indeed you are ridding yourself of fears, which is what your alter images are, good or bad, they are simply manifestations of an overactive perpetually confused imagination that really would like to be put in order... once one deals with the source then one has something to work with at laying all this amazing creativity of the human mind to rest... but not with pills and threats of being cast into hell ... that just creates another set of fears... some people are amazed to see just how easy it is for them to confront painful/frightening things and then work through them... but again, the industry has set standards and rights for everything... and so thus this is the law... not only in the written charters of the world, but also now in the minds of mankind... there really is no need for a person to have to read the NT books if they don't wish to... there will always be those who have digested it enough to preach their own version, alongside all other opinion records that are taken seriously enough to apply... but if there is nothing more than spoken records, that are in fact reasonable debates, which encourage and bring forth the comments of others, then when one relates a story to ones own, one then has formed and discarded many potential theories and ideas... and if it is broken down to contain logical arguments, even from both sides of the fence, the next round of listeners will look at it in individual ways and think things over, they will have the advantage of seeing people talking about it... and they will find answers to things they did not even know they had questions for... there is really nothing productive to get from the arguing over a single point, leave it alone and eventually it will be answered or discarded... but to haggle over the point is not producing anything innovative or imaginative... to think before scathingly attacking someone's idea would be good... to ask a question about this or that is entirely different from giving them an answer in a very harsh and unproductive fashion... you will learn more about the person if they tell you what they really think and why than you will in telling them they are wrong... it does not matter if they are wrong, they must reach this point on their own... honest reality only comes from within... on occasion I get confronted with something that makes absolutely no sense to me at all... it seems to contradict my own view of reality... and this must be questioned... it is almost compulsive to then find out why this person disagrees with you... but instead of being me right you idiot type situation it becomes a simple sharing of views that can then be assessed for anything useful... to bring total and complete logic to a human, first of all one must allow that human to expand its imagination enough to let that concept in... but more often than not facing the truth is far too much for people... and only by showing them something can be done will anything get done... by making a person stretch their imagination too much to take in at once, one only creates a fear of failing this new challenge... but by encouraging an ever increasing need to learn, one will in fact allow a distinct pattern to grasp many new and innovative ideas and adapt the situation to the ideal outcome... many people don't follow this... they feel that one must use their own technology too much... in the more primitive communities, one can show these people pictures of how something should look and then assist them to build this using as much local skill and commodity that one can... it saves considerable sums of money and as the community starts to prosper then slowly the external world can bring its wares to its doors, but in the fast place it must come from the imagination of the community... bamboo to PVC pipe... fast growing, acceptably eco friendly substitute that will allow almost immediate employment to produce these... and so on... the main problems of todays worlds stem from the inability to people to use their imagination to build the future... and allowing the western world to catch up with what it has first of all... it shows in the eyes of our children as they grasp one after another concept and being forced to do this more rapidly than we did, and with spectacular results, our young have more knowledge and creativity in their high tech skills after each time they touch the stuff and we are still trying to figure out the video... the 7 year old can program it and make it turn cartwheels, ... but we have bred a group of young that expect the tech to keep bettering itself as it has done all its life and boredom comes from the lost art of playing ... tree climbing, it went out with the advent of Space invaders... catching tadpoles died a natural when the Atari made its debut in homes... and videos and constant changing technology... we flatterned the kids innovation with having done it for them... they had nothing more to dream about and still don't in many cases... they have finally figured out that the world is not so much like the movies and it is not looking like having stallone rescue it in the nick of time and well, hell huh, what is the point... to bring back the kids innovation and imagination perhaps its time we put our own imagination into practice and bought about a new type of effort to bring change in a productive fashion? just a thought... be safe be happy be you.. regards Em |
