This church was just too pretty to pass up, so I asked Ray to pull over so I could take a few shots. This is "Spook", a friend and neighbor of Fran and Ray's who was kind enough to allow me a few pets.
A front view of Biltmore.  Words are just not up to the task of describing this place. The view from the roof of Biltmore.  All that you see here is part of the estate.
I took a lot of architectural detail shots to help me with my proposed modeling project.

I won't bore you with all of them.

One of two regal lions who stand guard at the front door.
This is the view of Biltmore from the back side.  I think I like this view better than the more formal one from the front of the house. The Hermitage -- Andrew Jackson's home.
The rear of The Hermitage.  As you can see, the house is really brick, and the white, Greek Revival front is just a facade added to the original house.   Belle Meade.  I am at a loss to say what style this house is ... not really Greek Revival, but close.
Bullet holes in the front columns of Belle Meade.  These are the scars of a Civil War battle fought on the grounds.

The house was preserved because it was a Union encampment during the war.
